The public libraries in Næstved consist of a main library in Næstved, and four branch libraries in the municipality of Næstved; Sct. Jørgen, Glumsø, Fuglebjerg and Fensmark.
Free of charge
It is free to use the libraries, and to borrow from the extensive collection of items: books, music, journals, movies and games. At the libraries there is free internet and wifi access for children as well as adults. The libraries offer a lot of inspiration for reading and learning and for experiences and concentration. But the libraries are also places for meeting friends, and for talking and listening to music.
How to become a patron of the libraries
You become a patron by visiting one of the five libraries, bringing your yellow health and social securtity card, or otherwise documentation carrying your Personal Identification number.
The online Library
On our website you can search and reserve items in our online catalogue. You can also see items that are out on loan and you can serve yourself in many other ways. Here the libraries also offer their patrons access to a wide range of online databases and digital downloads.
Inspiration and events
The libraries host many events and exhibitions. Visit us both physically and online, and let the libraries guide you to their treasures of books, cartoons, movies, games, audio books, music, databases and much more. Who knows? You may find a hidden gem.
Public IT Center at The Main Library in Næstved
Located at the Main Library in Næstved you will find a Public IT Center. At the it center, you can use computers free of charge. The computers have word processing programs etc. The staff at the It Center can help you get started.
